Preliminary analysis - SAM Light

First step in getting transparency of your surgical instruments conditions

SAM Light is the first step towards achieving transparency of your surgical instrument's condition (standard and special devices), sterile packaging, and reprocessing processes. After analysing one representative instrument set or the packaging system in your CSSD (central sterile supply department), our consultant will inform you of the possible causes that might explain the current state of the surgical instruments and potential issues related to your sterile packaging system.

Our process analysis provides you with a necessary overview of your reprocessing cycle's current quality and efficiency according to national and international standards and guidelines. This includes water sample analysis, assessing chlorides, silicates, conductivity and pH. Our specialist consultants match all gathered information and prepare an extensive final report which informs you about all identified issues and all necessary optimisation steps to reach a very high level in reprocessing performance.

Container feasibility study

A detailed evaluation of the management of your existing sterile packaging system in use

This analysis determines if it is possible to implement a container system into your reprocessing cycles and includes the evaluation of reprocessing capacities for containers, cleaning racks, sterile stock organisation and set flow. Our consultant creates a detailed calculation of potential cost and time savings and also a report including findings or challenges with existing sterile packaging system(s) and possible improvements gained from implementing sterile containers (quality, time, costs).

Based on data from your instrument management system (IMS), we can identify optimisation potentials in your processes such as how to prevent set bottlenecks in current workflow and how to achieve higher levels of instrument sets standardisation, consequently establishing, an excellent basis for decision making. SGDA creates transparency to generate savings, improve processes, optimise resources and apply solutions.
