Background information

This 1-year long fellowship, which is partly funded by a grant from B. Braun, will enable a senior neurosurgery resident or specialist to gain translation expertise in computational modelling and Artificial Intelligence applied to the clinical neurosciences, for a comprehensive study of the brain and diseases of neurosurgical interest. The fellow will be involved in one or more research projects in the new Computational NeuroSurgery field at the CNS Lab of the Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), in a new vibrant environment with neurosurgeons, clinical and computational neuroscientists, engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, cognitive neuroscientists, and more. Hybrid positions – research and clinical/surgical fellowship – will be considered for eligible fellows accredited with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

  1. A statement defining the purpose of the proposed fellowship
  2. The applicant’s current curriculum vitae, including titles, surgical and research experience, and the publications’ track record

Essential criteria

  • Specialisation in neurosurgery or proof of neurosurgical training in progress
  • Proven track record with peer-reviewed publications
  • Excellent command of scientific writing in English
