During the fellowship I had the opportunity to attend many kinds of surgeries and familiarise myself with the latest technology. It was particularly inspiring to witness Prof. Tatagiba’s daily work. I consider him to be an excellent role model for any neurosurgeon, combining technical excellence with wide knowledge, but also being a great person and host. So, the fellowship was especially useful for me and believe that will be fundamental in the future development of my career."
“During this program, I attended the whole spectrum of neurosurgical procedures include neuro-oncological, neurovascular, functional, spine and skull base surgeries. Also, I got to know new technical equipment such as intraoperative MRI, intraoperative navigation, intraoperative ultrasonography, intraoperative laser and neuro-anaesthesiology. I am very happy to participate in this valuable fellowship. This program was very useful. I had extensive exposure to the whole spectrum of neurosurgical techniques, and I was able to improve my professional knowledge.”
“It’s a great chance to learn a wide spectrum of micro neurosurgical skills and knowledge from Professor Tatagiba and his team. The latest technological equipment, neuro oncology, skull base and neuro vascular surgeries here, impressed me a lot and helped me to understand the newer approaches to managing complex neurosurgeries. Professor Tatagiba is an amazing personality; he inspires the younger neurosurgeons like me a lot. And his approach and kindness towards patient’s wellbeing is very impressive. This abroad trip to the University Hospital in Tübingen is very valuable for my growth of professional career in Neurosurgery. The Aesculap factory tour is a memorable moment, to understand the making of aneurysm clips and other tools. The new Aesculap Aeos® digital surgical microscope is very exciting, and I think, it is very futuristic to micro neurosurgery.”
