Surgical instruments for cranial and spinal neurosurgery
Aesculap's neurosurgical instruments include KERRISON bone punches, IVD rongeurs to wound retractors for the treatment of decompressions on the spine, such as the performance of laminectomies and discectomies. It includes fine, delicate micro instruments for the minimally invasive treatment of brain lesions, like the mircoform portfolio that was developed with Professor Dr. Gazi Yaşargil, and micro instruments for pituitary and skull base surgery. Furthermore, special instruments like the EC/IC Bypass instruments are part of our offering. For haemorrhage control during brain surgery, we offer a broad range of neurosurgical suction cannulas, bipolar forceps and scalp clips.
Aesculap has extensive experience in designing and producing neurosurgical instruments, with them forming part of the first ever Aesculap catalogue of 1887. To the present day we continue to develop our portfolio of general and micro instruments for cranial and spinal neurosurgery.
