      Skin breakdown and protection

      Skin protects our bodies from injury and water loss; as we age, skin loses its elasticity and can become more fragile which can increase rise of injury. Permeability can increase and this can lead to transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

      Linovera® contains hyperoxygenated fatty acids (HOFA) from sunflowers, which is high in linoleic acid – an essential fatty acid found naturally in the skin.

      The combination of ingredients helps the skin repair lipid loss, rebuild the skins structure and restore the natural barrier function.

      Compromised skin will appear dull, flakey, itchy and have increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

      The lack of essential fatty acids in the stratum corneum means the corneocytes  ('bricks') are not supported by the intracellular lipid matrix, leaving the skin devitalised.

       

       

       

       

       

       

      After Linovera® Use

      Linovera® can help support flexible, hydrated, resistant and comfortable skin.

      Due to the high concentration of linoleic acid in Linovera, the fatty acids are absorbed into the intercellular lipid matrix, providing structure for the corneocytes and improving the skin's natural barrier function by maintaining epidermal integrity and preventing dehydration from TEWL.
